FUSION Earns The Climate Label for the Fourth Year in a Row

How we measure, fund and reduce the carbon footprint of our event experiences, and what we're working on next.

October 30, 2026

FUSION Performance Group has earned The Climate Label for 2026. This is our fourth consecutive year of certification with The Change Climate Project, since we first certified in 2023. Our emissions, climate funding, and reduction plans arepublic on our Climate Label profile.

‍

The Climate Label isn't a finish line. It's a yearly process of measuring our emissions, funding climate solutions, and setting concrete plans to reduce our impact. The events we create have a real climate footprint, from travel to printed materials to the food we serve.Certification holds us accountable for that footprint every year.

‍

How we earned The Climate Label

Every certified company meets the same Climate Label Certification Standard. Here's what that looked like for us this year.

‍

Measure. We measured our 2025 carbon footprint at 68 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e). That includes the energy used across our remote offices, the business travel that brings our team to events, and the goods and services we buy to produce them.

‍

Fund. We applied an internal carbon fee of $15 per tonne to our total emissions, setting our Climate Transition Budget at $1,020. That budget funds climate solutions inside and beyond our value chain. Inside our value chain, we invested $350 in lower-carbon printed materials. We switched our FUSION booklets and amenity cards from standard virgin-fiber paper to Neenah ENVIRONMENT PC 100 White, a 100% post-consumer recycled, FSC-certified paper. Beyond our value chain, we put the remaining$670 into high-integrity carbon credits from two projects: 47 tonnes from theRio Grande Valley Landfill gas project in Texas ($470) and 8 tonnes from BNWRanch Grasslands ($200).

‍

Reduce. We have five Reduction Action Plans

  • Business travel: cutting flights for our account management team by 25% by partnering with local staff for live one-day events, instead of flying our team in.
  • Event giveaways: replacing single-use giveaways and branded items with reusable or regenerative alternatives.
  • Food waste: working with local food banks and composting at all of our in-person event locations.
  • Event signage (new this year): setting up recycling and reuse programs for end-of-life signage, including foam core, vinyl banners, and rigid signs.
  • Sustainable sourcing (new this   year): requiring every supplier proposal to include at least two sustainable options, so our clients can choose reusable or sustainably     certified merchandise and gifts.

‍

These build on plans we've already completed: holding our annual company get-together domestically instead of abroad, buying more recycled packaging for client materials, and extending the life of the iPads, registration tools, and printers we use at events.

‍

Advocate. We share what we're learning with our clients and partners, and we push for more sustainable options across the event industry, starting with the vendors we work with every day.

‍

What The Climate Label means

The Climate Label is an independent certification for companies that measure their cradle-to-customer emissions every year, fund climate solutions inside and beyond their value chain, and publicly report their progress. It doesn't mean a company has zero impact. It means the company is taking measurable, transparent action now.

For our clients, it means the experiences we design are planned with their climate impact in mind, and you can see exactly what we're doing. Learn more on our sustainability page and our Climate Label profile.

We have more work to do, and we'llkeep reporting on it every year. To learn more about The Climate Label and other certified brands, visit changeclimate.org.
