Every year, Cvent CONNECT sets the tone for where our industry is headed.
This year, it didn't just set the tone, it changed the conversation.
As a proud Cvent Gold Partner, the FUSION team left Nashville energized by what's ahead, inspired by the people we met, and excited about how the future of event technology will help us create even better experiences for our clients.
From one of the most impressive live brand launches we've ever witnessed to AI-powered innovations that will fundamentally change how events are planned, managed, and measured, Cvent CONNECT 2026 proved one thing:
The future of events isn't about doing more. It's about creating greater impact.
A Rebrand That Was About More Than a New Look
Rebrands happen all the time.
Few become industry moments.
During the opening general session, Cvent unveiled an entirely new brand identity but what made it remarkable wasn't simply a new logo or updated colors.
It was the execution.
In a matter of moments, attendees watched the transformation happen live. The stage design, presentation graphics, event app, digital signage, website, and messaging all shifted simultaneously to the new brand. Experiencing thousands of attendees collectively witness that transition in real time was something our team won't soon forget. It was a masterclass in event production and change management.
But even more impressive than the execution was the message behind it.
Cvent wasn't refreshing its identity simply to look different.
The company introduced a renewed promise centered around helping organizations prove the business value of events in an AI-driven world. Their new positioning focuses on combining trusted technology, data, AI, and deep industry expertise to help planners create measurable business outcomes not just successful events.
That message resonates deeply with us at FUSION.
For years, we've believed events should never be measured solely by attendance numbers or attendee satisfaction. Every meeting, incentive trip, sales kickoff, customer summit, or leadership conference should contribute to meaningful business goals.
Around our office we often joke that ROI is our middle name.
Because while we love creating unforgettable experiences, what excites us even more is helping clients prove those experiences mattered.
AI Isn't Replacing Event Professionals, it's Elevating Them
One of the biggest themes throughout CONNECT was clear:
AI should eliminate administrative work so planners can focus on creating better experiences.
Rather than showcasing AI as a replacement for event professionals, Cvent demonstrated how it will become a true planning partner.
Some of the innovations announced include:
Cvent also announced more than 70 product innovations, including 34 new AI capabilities, all backed by a planned $1 billion investment in product development over the next several years.
For our clients, this means faster launches, smarter attendee experiences, richer reporting, and ultimately more time spent on strategy instead of manual tasks.
Technology should never replace hospitality.
It should make it easier to deliver.
Growing Alongside Cvent
As a Cvent Gold Partner, one of the most rewarding parts of CONNECT is seeing how our partnership continues to evolve.
Every new capability added to the platform becomes another opportunity for our team to deliver more value to our clients.
Whether it's registration strategy, attendee journeys, reporting, integrations, or event websites, our goal has always been to stay ahead of what's possible so our clients don't have to.
CONNECT reminded us why we continue investing in certifications, training, and product expertise year after year.
When Cvent grows, we grow with them.
And that means our clients benefit from the very latest event technology and best practices.
Celebrating Olivia Figary's Incredible Achievement
One of our favorite moments from the week had nothing to do with product announcements.
It was watching our own Registration Manager, Olivia Figary, earn recognition during Cvent's inaugural Build Off Competition.
The Build Off challenged participants to demonstrate their expertise by building within the Cvent platform under pressure, a true test of product knowledge and problem solving.
Olivia qualified in the Top 9 competitors and ultimately finished among the Top 20 winners.
We couldn't be prouder.
Anyone who has worked with Olivia already knows what this recognition confirms.
She isn't simply someone who knows how to use Cvent.
She's a strategic consultant who helps clients maximize the platform, solve complex registration challenges, and create better attendee experiences from the ground up.
Watching her continue to raise the bar every year is exciting not only for our team, but for every client who benefits from her expertise.
Four Years on the Trade Show Floor
This marked FUSION's fourth year exhibiting at Cvent CONNECT, and every year the experience gets better.
The trade show continues to evolve into one of the most valuable networking opportunities in our industry, and this year's experience was exceptional.
A huge thank you goes to T3 Expo, whose partnership and execution made our booth setup seamless from start to finish.
But more than anything, we appreciated the conversations.
Again and again, we heard from event professionals who are balancing increasingly complex programs with lean internal teams.
Many organizations already have talented event and marketing professionals leading their programs.
That isn't changing.
What is changing is the volume of work they're expected to manage.
Your Team Doesn't Need Replacing. It Needs Reinforcement.
One misconception we hear often is:
"We're not looking to outsource our events because we already have an internal team."
Our response is always the same.
Good.
So do almost all of our clients.
FUSION isn't here to replace your event team.
We're here to strengthen it.
Think about your year.
Your team is preparing for your annual sales meeting, President's Club, partner summit, or user conference.
Then leadership asks for five regional customer events.
A roadshow.
An executive meeting.
An incentive trip.
A product launch.
Suddenly your team isn't focused on creating exceptional experiences.
They're simply trying to keep up.
That's where we come in.
We're your overflow valve.
We take projects off your team's plate so they can focus their energy where it matters most.
Because when every event gets only a fraction of the attention it deserves, none of them reach their full potential.
When each event has the right resources behind it, that's when exceptional attendee experiences and measurable business results happen.
Better Events. Better Results.
One message echoed throughout CONNECT this year:
Events are no longer being measured simply by attendance.
Organizations want proof.
Leadership wants business impact.
Budgets increasingly depend on measurable outcomes.
We couldn't agree more.
Great events should generate more than memorable moments.
They should build stronger customer relationships.
Increase employee engagement.
Drive pipeline.
Support revenue growth.
Strengthen brands.
Create lasting loyalty.
That's why every recommendation we make—from registration strategy to attendee communications to post-event reporting—is designed with ROI in mind.
Because the most successful events aren't just beautifully executed.
They're business drivers.
Looking Ahead
If Cvent CONNECT 2026 taught us anything, it's that our industry is entering an incredibly exciting chapter.
AI is making planners more strategic.
Technology is becoming more intuitive.
Data is becoming more actionable.
And experiences are becoming even more meaningful.
We're excited to continue investing in the latest Cvent capabilities, expanding our team's expertise, and helping organizations unlock the full potential of their event programs.
To everyone we met in Nashville, thank you.
We can't wait to see where this next chapter takes all of us.
And if your team is wondering how to get more from Cvent, or simply needs an experienced partner when your next big event stretches your internal resources, we'd love to start the conversation.
Because at FUSION, we're not just helping clients plan events.
We're helping them prove why events matter.
