Published in honor of Pollinator Week (June 16–22, 2025)
At FUSION, sustainability is more than a checklist; it’s a commitment to putting People, Planet, and Purpose at the center of every experience we design. And this June, we’re shining a spotlight on one of the smallest (but most powerful)players in our ecosystem: pollinators—more specifically, the bees! 🐝
Pollinator Week reminds us that bees, butterflies, birds, and bats do more than beautify the environment; they’re responsible for one in every three bites of food we eat. As champions of thoughtful event design, we’re using this moment to explore how the events industry can help protect pollinator populations while creating more meaningful, sustainable experiences.
Pollinators face major threats from habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change, but the event. The world can be part of the solution. Here’s how FUSION is integrating pollinator-friendly practices into our event designs:
🐝 Bee-Friendly Venues
We guide clients toward eco-conscious venues that support pollinators. Habitats—like those with outdoor green spaces or on-site beehives.
🌸 Sustainable Vendors
We prioritize partners who use local, seasonal florals and avoid harmful practices. Chemicals—reducing waste and supporting pollinator health. Whenever possible, we incorporate living plants that can be replanted or donated post-event.
📚 Moments of Education
From interactive signage to pollinator-friendly culinary spotlights to venue highlights on social media and our blog, we infuse moments that inspire us. Audience to rethink sustainability.
🍯 Pollinator-Friendly Gifting
We encourage purposeful giveaways like native seed paper, organic honey from local apiaries, and wildflower grow kits. These small but meaningful items help guests support pollinators in our communities.
As part of our broader Sustainability by FUSION initiative, we’re focused on minimizing. Our environmental impact while maximizing attendee engagement. Here’s how ourbee-friendly thinking aligns with our larger sustainability goals:
• We design waste out of the experience through intentional planning, sustainable materials, and smart sourcing.
• We partner with vendors who align with our values—from food and flowers to décor and logistics.
• Through our Climate Neutral Certification, we measure emissions andcreate annual reduction plans to stay accountable and improve year after year.
We believe. Sustainability should feel inspiring, not overwhelming. By taking small steps, like supporting pollinators, we can drive meaningful change in the eventsindustry.
